I am so happy that the hotel is opening back up and also the same with the park. Conneaut is a childhood memory for me and it made me really sad that it closed. My fiance proposed to me on the backporch facing the lake. Can't wait to come back with everything opened. Good Luck!

I cannot say how elated I am at the work being done at my Conneaut Lake Park! Yes, I said "my" Park. It has felt like that since I was a child. I am anxious to see the Hotel rooms BACK to their original splendor as well. Removing the gaudy decor will go far with your customer base! I was so saddened to see the Hotel rooms that were once beautiful, turn into someones personal decorating nightmare. I think going back to a tasteful, universal decor will be appreciated.Keep the era ...keep the period decor. THAT is what people Love...sleeping in the history of that Hotel used to be so exciting.
Keep the renovations and repairs going...The Park is what MAKES Conneaut Lake , Conneaut Lake. Without the park, it's just another body of water.
YEAH>>>>>We'll be riding rides there again in no time!

I am glad the park is reopening. The last time I was at the Park was many years ago, I brought my antique Mustang up for a car show at the park. Got in for nothing, but I did have to pay for the gas in the car which was substantial at that time. Fun time was had by all. They also had Jan & Dean at the stand by the Beach Club. They did a very good concert. My first ride on a Roller Coaster was at Conneaut Lake on the Blue Streak. It made me swear off of Roller Coasters. I did not ride a Roller Coaster again until about 10 years later at Kings Island in Ohio. The only way I managed to stay on the Roller Coaster (Blue Streak) was to sit with a very large male person, he held me down when we went down the first dip.

I live in California and have been visiting Conneaut Lake Park since 1981 with my sister and her family from Ohio. I was saddened to hear of the closing a couple years ago but very excited to see this website and that the Hotel and surroundings are open again. My brother and his family celebrated his 50th birthday there 3 years ago this June, hopefully he'll be able to make it up from Virginia. Thank you for reopening and I hope to see you soon.

i am thrilled that the park is open again my family and i went over the 4th of July and the fireworks were wonderful. I am a little disappointed in the condition of some of the rides. All it would take is a little paint and some time cleaning and it would be 100%.

WOW the ceiling ,uncovered looks great. the vaulted ceiling exsposed with the chandiliers will look great. .The board walk is looking great also! Im so happy that the park is coming back to life. I grew up in this park with summer picnics and class reunions. I am so pleased that there are very responsible management in the helm , now. This park and hotel and surroundung grounds are just to historic and beautiful to let fall in to decay. Good luck in the future you are doing a great job, whomever is involved. John B.

We visited this Sat afternoon. Happy to see much of the park operating and a crowd at the beach and Beach Club. The band @ Down-under (Necessary Experience) was rockin'. Happy to see renovation work in hotel dining room and boardwalk underway. Will be bringing the grandchildren to the same to great kiddie land we used to take our children. Hoping the work and support continue the park's revival!

I am thrilled that the park and hotel are in the process of being updated. The park has meant so much to Pittsburgers and local cottage owners and their families who looked forward every weekend to visit the hotel for dinners and park for their entertainment. The Dreamland Ballroom has had some of the worlds best entertainment and many a wonderful dances during its hayday. Is their any word on its reconstruction? Is the hotel open for dinners during its update?
Some of us from Pittsburgh want to have dinner this year at the hotel, please let us know - calling has not resulted in any personal contacts to give us answers as to time and days of operation.

I am now living in Arizona and I am going to make it a point to visit in 2010. If they have a website to publish old memories photos I have some to upload! See you soon!

I haven't been back to Conneaut Lake Park since the early 60's. We drove over from our farm on Wednesdays because the rides were only $.05!!! What great memories swimming in the lake with my cousins and sister and brother. This summer we are returning on a visit with my 85 year old dad. I didn't know about the hotel, but now we will be staying there. Can't wait!

I am so excited the park will open again. I am 59 and have been going there
since I was a young child. As an adult we brought friends with us every weekend
until there was a charge to enter. It just became to expensive. We have a place there and no one wants to visit
without the park. Keep up the good work
and we will surely support the park!

I have been coming to CLP since I was A child. All grown up now, I have seen the park through the good times and bad.Our family had all our summer picnics there. ANd to see that the hotel looks so very good makes me very happy. This place is very charming and should be seen and treasured by all.It was so nice last year to come up and visit the park and walk through the hotel. I was sadden to hear about the fire. what a shame. I do hope that something will be built in that area where the ballroom once stood.I plan to make a return visit this summer in 2010 and Im looking forward to seeing the rebuilt boardwalks progress. Good Luck CLP
